Culinary

We love regional cuisine! Our dishes have a connection to the region and the season. Our motto: Fresh, healthy and delicious! Regional vegetables, regional baked goods, sausages from the farm, fish from the cutter, homemade products

We love colourful vegetables. But everything in its season. In spring we look forward to the popular asparagus, in summer to vitamin-rich salads, in autumn to a variety of mushrooms and in winter to various types of cabbage. We prefer to do our shopping at the Westerstede weekly market, which is right on our doorstep. Whet your appetite with our recommendations menu – valid in the evenings from Easter Sunday.

Tapas with a North German flair

Every Friday and Saturday evening, enjoy warm and cold tapas. Freshly prepared under the theme “Sea meets Dyke”, you will be served bite-sized and appetising delights at your table, such as salmon, prawns, scampi, sausage specialities, meat and vegetarian treats.

In our restaurant rooms at the Altes Stadthaus, just across the road, our head chef Bernd Rimke and his team look forward to welcoming you.

Asparagus

Asparagus season is a season of indulgence. Prepared with hollandaise sauce, boiled potatoes, Ammerländer ham or, alternatively, with schnitzel or pan-fried salmon. From late April / early May, look forward to freshly cut asparagus from the region. We source our asparagus from Hof Warband just nearby. Short transport routes guarantee full vitamin content and freshness. Visit us and feel free to reserve a table in advance at the Hotel Altes Stadthaus – directly across the road / a 2-minute walk away – so you are guaranteed to enjoy a perfect time of indulgence in our cosy restaurant rooms or in the beer garden.
